BILL JACOBS ENSEMBLES offers a wide range of education programs. Whether it be as an African-American Music History Program done for an assembly of children; or a multi-week – in-school residency, or a private lesson on any instrument a child may aspire to play. Ensembles gives the same attention to detail, discipline, motivation, theory, and creativity.

PerformanceAfrican-American Music Program

A live, one-hour lecture/demonstration performance. This is done by a nine piece ensemble of professional musicians and recording artists who also teach and inspire. The performance will be concluded with a question and answer session. The Program covers basic concepts from African roots to present day, with focus on America's Classical Music (Jazz).

PerformanceAfro-Caribbean Jazz Ensemble

This group demonstrates a modern blend of African and Caribbean rhythms with jazz harmonies and techniques.  This performance is available in a septet or quintet group.

PerformanceProgressive Trio Plus One

New Arrangements on Jazz Rhythm Blues and Popular Standards.

ResidenceImprovisational Special

An 8 week study in solo technique for all instruments concluded with a student performance with a professional rhythm section.

Residence: Instrumental Specialist

A master professional to assist and develop existing school band.
